Great Defence, can't score for toffee

Postby lear_kent_fool »

And that's because a good striker costs a lot of money and we won't shell out that on one player.

I calculated that if we were to draw all our games next season 0-0 we would end up with 46 points and flat goal difference*.

Last season that would have seen us relegated ahead of Sheff Wednesday. Let's hope we can eek out a single goal in one of the games. 48 points would have seen us survive.

* I subtracted 1 from the total number of teams in the league. Then multiplied by 2 to get the number of games. Finally I multiplied the result by 1. So P = (s-1) x 2!

to be fair I can understand your frustration, but do remember Aidy and RR are trying their hardest to bring in a premiership striker. Just b patient, we may have one in by the start of the season.

I think it's a case of "can't" rather than "won't" shell out.

I disagree torchey, I think Ranson and SISU will spend on a striker in the next few days...

I have to say someone like Marlon King would make all the difference.

I understand ( from a very good source ) that the striker we failed to sign on Thursday was definitely NOT King!

However I don't know who it was, although my guess would be Ishmael Miller but who knows?

How disingeneous!

Playing for struggling clubs in the premership and 15 of those apprearances were off the bench, you can more or less double that playing for a top 5 club in the championship.

Anyway he hasn't signed for anyone yet, or has he?
