I don't know. What I do know is that Norwich City - a club that for a long time was comparable to us in size, gates and performance - has completely sold out it's allocated season tickets which I believe is around 25,000.

If we could do that then we would not be in this vortex of mediocrity for much longer!

Carrow road capacity is 26,000 they have sold 20,000 season tickets and you have to buy in feb to get early bird prices.

I bow to your superior knowledge but the point is the same.

Most of the time our gate does not reach 20,000 even including the away support. They have 20K plus season ticket holders!!!

spot on. For decades our fans haven't had the fire in their bellies for a struggle. They're only interested in success. I wonder what happened to the 40,000 who went to the charity shield? Or those who went to Old Trafford? Or Chelsea?

Other fans seem to realise that everything isn't always rosy. Norwich is a good example.

I think crowds are pretty similar to those at HR.

paying for season tickets over 8 months instead of 10 didnt help when paying out for more than 1 season ticket .

Most football grounds now have parking restrictions. If we were still at highfield road there would be restrictions now, because they can make money from it.
Look at yesterday - parking restrictions in place, but the restrictions are only valid for crowds over 10,000 and there was no chance of that happening yesterday.
Hull and Stoke both getting 14,000 crowds before they got promoted and then sold out when in the premiership.
There didn't seem to be a problem getting to the ground when Chelsea were playing!

Norwich have much better and loyal fans than we do. The figures speak for themselves and have done for a long time. The Coventry City supporters have deserted the club in numbers over decades.

Norwich, Leicester, Derby, Leeds, Sheffield Utd.... All have fantastic support and always sell more than 60% or more of their season tickets. Coventry = **** support, fans who only want to see us play teams like Man Utd and Chelsea. I mean for god sake, and this may offend a few so my apologies... but we built our stadium north of Coventry in Foleshill
Unfortunately for SISU and RR unless they get Coventry into the Premiership we will never see crowds of more than 16k averaging, furthermore, this figure is slowly decreasing as the seasons carry on in the Championship!!

In my 25-30 years crowds have improved. We certainly get better crowds than the 80's. I wouldn't say Norwich save much better and loyal fans than us. A higher amount maybe but not any better.

People say that there would be some kind of explosion in numbers if we get promoted because our fans are glory hunters. Really? Did we sell out every home game when Hadji, Keane et al were here.

Lets face it the Jimmy Hill era and the 1960's as great as they were are history we are what we are, a small band of devotees.

As for the old if Chelsea were playing we would get 30,000, that is wearing a bit thin. Of course we would get 30,000 same as any other team would. Mainly made up of people coming for a day out to watch some superstars probably even neutrals.

Why do you think non league teams take 6000 to cup ties against league teams, its the same thing.

Our fans are great and I wouldn't change them for the world

Well said Macca!!!

Our away support is amazing as well, and that is beacuse we have about 1000 die hard fans and then depending on where it is probs another 1000 on top of that. I plan to go to about 12-15 away games this season. Any way with less fans at home, less time queuing for beer!! 8)
