Marlon King Appeal

Postby backroomrummermill »

He is appealing against his conviction ( Sky Sports news today) that sent him down........... I cant see how he will get any joy seeing that the Jury went 10 - 2 against him. He claims he is innocent..............

It is a bit baffling why he is trying to do this, what happens if he is still found to be guity after his appeal :!: He will look a real plonker

We defo do not want this man he is not quite right.

Your probably right, I don't think we can afford his wages. More likely to go to QPR, where he will score a goal that fires them to promotion and us to another season in the championship.

:funnypost:
8 goals in his last 51 appearances, get over it its not happening. Maybe you could go and lick his **** at his appeal hearing, well you must be his biggest supporter Jimmy with the amount of post you have written. Look you obviously have feelings for him I'm sure he would be approachable to your advances, go for it I hope you both live happily ever after together.

Perhaps because he believes he is innocent and trying to highlight a miscarriage of justice.
2 jurors felt the charge was not proven "beyond reasonable doubt".

Why else?

let me tell you something, he must be inocent because you do not appeal your sentence after you have completed your sentence unless your brief has told you your 100% to win your appeal, the reason for this is although he has completed his sentence he could be given a longer sentence by the judge, a appeal is a complete re trial. you usually appeal at the beginning of or in the middle of your sentence, only inocent poeple appeal after their sentence, it wouldnt surprise me if he is aquitted at his appeal, the evidence was poor, her word against his. He is a easy target and for whilst there are money grabbers out there looking for a bit of compo their will always be women crying rape or hitting out then running to the police when they get a punch back, i feel sorry for King, he only smacked her in the face, he didnt rape her, he didnt try to rape her and he didnt try to kill her, get over it guys, he is a petty criminal at most. he is being treated like the soham killer

it happens every day every minute every town and every city in the nation, im not condoning it im justy saying it is hardly a terrible or henious crime, it is classed as a petty offence, hence a small sentence of 18 months, if it had been serious hed have got 5 to 10 years, the sentence shows the gravity of the crime and what the judge thought

Yeah, poor Marlon King. He's the real victim. It's only when rape and murder is involved that a person is genuinely nasty.

You feel sorry for him, and it's in his favour that he's neither a murderer nor a rapist.

Which part did I misconstrue?

As ever on this forum, quotes being taken out of context...He has served his time so he should be given a chance to get on with his life. If he comes to us or not, it will take more than a month for him to get fit. Whatever happens, we need a decent striker.
